ชาน่า // Shana Purnama is a Thai–Indonesian–born director, photographer, and visual artist based between New York City and Bangkok. Her work is deeply personal and intuitive, shaped by emotion, memory, and lived experience. Across stills and motion, she crafts visual stories that move fluidly between the subtly surreal and the warmly vulnerable.
Educated in Film and Television at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Shana brings a strong cinematic sensibility to her practice, blending elements of fiction, documentary, and fashion. Her background in brand development, creative direction, and production design informs a holistic approach to image-making, where concept, tone, and visual language are treated as a unified whole.
